Robinson is hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team and drive the aggressive growth of our business in New Zealand.As the BDM, you will be responsible for identifying customers that align with the target opportunity profile, building relationships, creating solutions, proposing, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities, all with a focus on revenue generation.
You will have access to a full suite of services, including Ocean Freight, Airfreight, Customs, Transport, Coastal Shipping, and other offerings, underpinned by the global reach of C.H.

A hybrid, flexible work arrangement applies.Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Independently identify and generate new sales opportunities in line with targeted profile.Actively engage with prospective customers to build opportunity understanding and tailor solutions accordingly.Drive C-level engagement, build relationships, stakeholder engagement, and influence positive customer decision making.Manage a pipeline in the CRM tool for visibility across the business to support onboarding and resource preparation.Engage internally with Commercial, Product, and Operations Management to align the support required to win.Support the implementation phase with a clean handover to Operations and Account Management.Maintain a high awareness of market conditions and competitors' capability in order to differentiate the C.H.
Robinson offering.Preferred Qualifications/Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.5+ years Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry experience.A demonstrable track record of overachievement in new business sales.Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of a customer's organization including C-Level executives.Commercial acumen and an understanding of supply chain and logistics business requirements.Competitive, resilient attitude with a strong work ethic.Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.Appreciation of a diverse and inclusive work environment.Disclaimer:This job description is intended to generally describe the nature and level of work to be performed by employees in this position.
