Our global FMCG brands include MONDAY Haircare, Rascals, NOOD, BONKERS, and Gumi Yum Surprise.Your Role As a Business Development Executive, you'll embark on an exciting journey of global expansion and help grow our Toys Portfolio.
You will have the opportunity to engage in ongoing business development, to secure new business with some of the world's largest retailers.
Additionally having close connection to the global licensing team, to help secure new licenses, drive existing licenses and work on new ways of working.
Together with our Commercial and Licensing Team, you will become the expert in finding missed business opportunity, then building compelling arguments to try and win the business.Core Roles and ResponsibilitiesBusiness DevelopmentTrack the brand sales by region & market, understand what index brand sales should be at and determine what brands are falling behindCompare Item vs Item sales by market to find where certain items have low sales vs the other like for like itemsFind new accounts ZURU has not yet partnered with globally and support the sales team to make strong arguments to win the new business.Owning the ZURU Customisation file, when a new item is added ensure we push this to the entire global team to maximise the production run of this item and drive salesHelping make strong arguments to reduce the amount of private label items we create - work with local team make strong arguments on why PL does not make sense for the customerCreate a KPI file which keeps global and local teams to be accountable for the touch points we have with customers.
Make a tracking system so this is measurableSupporting Commercial team on projects to improve efficiencies, develop existing areas or create new ways of workingLicensing DevelopmentUtilise persuasive communication techniques to craft compelling emails for potential new licensors ZURU wants to partner withWork with local marketing teams to partner with retailers on license-based execution opportunitiesBuilding presentations on brand success including circulating success slides with licensors & retail marketing teams as well as ZURU sales team to grow salesSupport relevant commercial case studies.Coordinating central file which indicated trends and upcoming entertainment calendarWork on research for new licenses and presenting back findingReporting Maintain 'Hit list' of Commercial Gaps and Licencing outreach so it is clear what opportunities we have capitalized on and what the status isMaintain a licensing Entertainment file capturing all activity currently happening and the 2–3-year pipelineSkills and Experience Required Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, law, or a related fieldPrevious work experience is preferredExcel and PowerPoint skillsData understanding to create insightsStrong verbal and written communication using persuasionCold calling/previous customer-facing experience is preferredHardworking, good team player, willing to learn, and well-organizedExcellent interpersonal ZURU, we have cultivated a high-performing culture that encourages excellence.
