In this role, as part of a team, you will conduct comprehensive carbon inventories and provide data-driven insights while also supporting general business analysis and project administration tasks. You will work closely with local and regional councils, heavy industry clients, infrastructure contractors, and supply chain clients. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' sustainability initiatives, project management, and compliance with environmental regulations.Position Based in Porirua, New ZealandKey Responsibilities:Carbon Inventory and Sustainability Focus:Conduct carbon inventories and greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments for various projects across sectors, including infrastructure, heavy industry, and supply chain.Analyse and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations for reducing carbon footprints and enhancing sustainability practices.Collaborate with project management teams to integrate carbon inventory results into broader environmental and project planning efforts.Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, highlighting carbon inventory findings and recommended actions.Stay up-to-date with New Zealand's environmental regulations, carbon reduction targets, and industry best practices.Assist in the development of sustainability strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with local and national regulatory requirements.Provide ongoing advisory support to clients on carbon management and reporting.General Business Analysis:Conduct business analysis to support various projects, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and identifying opportunities for improvement.Assist in the development of business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses for client projects.Analyse market trends, client needs, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making.Support the design and implementation of business processes that enhance operational efficiency and align with client goals.Project Administration and Support:Provide administrative support to project management teams, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining project documentation.Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.Assist in the preparation and submission of project reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and compliance documentation.Coordinate communication between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.Maintain project management tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis, with some experience in carbon inventory management or sustainability consulting. Experience in project administration or support, particularly within consultancy or industrial sectors, is advantageous.Technical Skills:Proficiency in carbon accounting methodologies and tools, such as the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, or equivalent standards.Strong data analysis skills with experience using software tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting.Familiarity with New Zealand's environmental regulations and carbon reduction initiatives.Proficiency in project management tools and software.Soft Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Organisational skills to manage project administration tasks efficiently.Desirable Qualifications and Experience:Certification in carbon accounting or sustainability.Experience with project management.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and qualifications.
