The Council is a key player in ensuring the District continues to prosper and to support us in this mahi we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our ICT Project Team.
As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for the provision of analytical and information management support that assists in the development of projects and initiatives across the organisation aimed at improving operational effectiveness.
Based in our new purpose-built Civic Centre, the role will include the development of project business cases clearly articulating benefits and ROI, risks and impacts, provision of clear requirements for business process automation, and management of the delivery of automation and business process changes into the organisation. Providing support to specific work programmes and projects is another key part of the role alongside the monitoring and evaluation of such projects.

Ability to develop strong working relationships across the business that aid effective collaboration
Strong project management experience with demonstrated ability to apply Project Management Principles
Highly numerate and confident using Excel and other database and information management systems
Excellent analytical skills and understanding of financial reporting systems and requirements
Excellent communication skills in conveying and interpreting data/information
Strong writing skills to deliver effective business cases, proposals, and reports
Experience in mapping business processes
Systems thinking approach
Ability and desire to work in a manner that is consistent with our organisational tikanga.
