Business Analyst contract role | 12 months Business/Systems Analysts (Information & Communication Technology) PMO People are a specialist recruitment firm for corporate project management office roles. We work with amazing clients and amazing candidates, we love doing what we do!   Currently we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst for one of our favourite Christchurch clients.  This organisation has a lot going on, so this is a fast moving, busy role in a dynamic environment. It is a role that is highly supported with a mature PMO Office in place, a great leadership team and an engaged business. They have a commitment to excellence, integrity, and creativity in everything they do and as they continue to grow and expand their operations, they are requiring a talented Business Analyst to join their team and help drive strategic decision-making processes. This is a 12 month contract initially but with so much going on extensions are possible. As a Business Analyst you will play a crucial role in analysing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support key business initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage your analytical skills to translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations that drive business growth and optimize performance. This role will be supporting two key projects for the business and as such they are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong commercialism and has a good understanding of the financial operations within a company. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimisation. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize initiatives based on business impact. Perform data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to uncover insights and trends that inform strategic decision-making. Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and actionable insights to senior management and key stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies. What we are looking for: 5 years++ of solid Business Analyst experience in a corporate environment. This could be within Financial Services or large enterprise private sector corporates. Strong process improvement experience  Experience with contracts and engagement with suppliers beneficial Excel, Teams, SharePoint and BI reporting and analysis skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
