Te Turanga | About the role Take the reins in aligning our organisational goals with processes, technologies and resources. Craft and implement a visionary operating model for the transport team that supports seamless connections and optimized planning.
Drive collaboration with internal and external partners. Ensuring funding contributions are maximised, creating a sustainable foundation for future transport projects.
Be the backbone of support services, offering expert advice in transport planning, business case development, analytics, and change management. Your guidance will propel the transport team towards unparalleled success.
Lead the charge in implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall impact or our transport function on the community.
Nga Pukenga | What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you'll bring;
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Business Management, or a related field.Proven experience in a strategic management or business alignment role within the transportation, general construction or logistics sector.Strong understanding of commercial and procurement processes.Track record of successfully driving business improvement initiatives including organisational culture.An understanding of operating models with preferable experience in their design and implementation.Knowledge and understanding of legislation, policy and processes relating to Transport.Excellent communication skills and commercial savviness.Tauranga City Council is one of Tauranga's largest employers, and we are always looking to attract great talent to join our driven, passionate, and community-focused team.
