Our staff are an important part of our mountain's personalities and help us deliver on our purpose. This is a guest service role that will require you to greet your passengers at various locations in Queenstown and transport them in a safe, friendly, and informative manner to and from our ski fields.
About the role
Transport our guests on our Express Service as well as delivering transport for the ski field staff. These duties include:
Driving in a manner to maximise fuel efficiency and guest comfort.
Adherence to schedules/timetables and carrying out Dispatchers instructions.
Assist with bus loading and ticket/pass collecting and queue management. Respond to weather and road conditions.
Deliver friendly and engaging service to all guests of NZSki.
Providing an informative and friendly guest commentary.
Efficient snow-chain fitting, removal, and correct storage.
Proper management of customer complaints and queries.
Identification and reporting of hazards to the leadership team.
Clear, concise & timely two-way radio communications.
Bus start-up checks and procedures completed correctly each morning.
A tidy bus interior is to be maintained throughout the day.
Bus to be fuelled and cleaned to the required standard at the end of each day.
Takes responsibility of all equipment and uniform that is allocated to them.
Attend staff meetings and engage with team communication.
Opportunity for additional casual, part-time, full-time, and evening shifts.
Complete all other tasks as directed by the leadership team.
Full house driver training program will be conducted during induction.
About You
To perform in this role effectively, you will need to exceed our guests' expectations with personable hosting and professional driving standards.
This job can often be physically demanding and requires a reasonable level of fitness.
Willing to assist in other departments and take on additional duties as required.
An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed.
Skills and Qualifications
At least a valid NZ driver's class 2 or 4 license. A New Zealand class 2 license and P endorsement must be obtained prior to commencement of employment. If you do not currently have a NZ licence, please contact us for further information.
Proven light vehicle, loader, or other heavy vehicle driving skills on snow and ice would be an advantage.

This role is based in Queenstown at the Station Building and will travel between both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.
