We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Bun and Dumpling Makers at our store in West Auckland. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking items according to established recipes and quality standards, while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This is a full-time job, and the starting hours will be 30 per week with the potential for increased hours. Job description: Prepare and cook a variety of buns, dumplings and other Chinese snacks and simple meals with precision and attention to quality. Check food and ingredients for freshness and quality. Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure an adequate supply of ingredients and equipment is available. Assist in the preparation of fillings, sauces, and other ingredients for buns and dumplings. Keep the kitchen area clean and sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations. Store food and other items properly. Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with management and team members. Follow established cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures. Job pre-requisites: Can work on the roster for seven days a week and late at night. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Knowledge or experience with Chinese pasta, such as buns, dumplings, and others, would be a big plus. On-the-job training will also be provided. Must be able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate effective communication skills. Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time. The successful candidate must pass a police check and drug test.
