About the role:
As a member of our residential processing team
Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide building advice and support to staff within the organisation to enable the provision of an integrated approach to customer service and effective achievement of outputs.
Processing building consent applications to ensure they comply with the NZ Building Code
Making decisions to grant or refuse residential applications
Making lapse and extension decisions
About you:
Our ideal candidate will be calm, honest and approachable with relevant BCA experience enabling you to hit the ground running. You are detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture when delivering work. You'll be a natural problem solver who can analyse information and make rational judgements and will ensure that your personal competence is maintained and enhanced where necessary.
You will also have:
A NZ Diploma in Building Surveying (Level 6) or equivalent NZ qualification.
Understanding and application of the Building Act, Regulations, Building Code, Standards, and the consent process.
Ability to make technical decisions using sound judgement, risk analysis and research.
High level digital literacy and experience in a range of software applications.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Time management.
Current Class 1 drivers licence.
