We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our Facilities Management team. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the built environment across our vibrant campus, ensuring our facilities are safe, sustainable, and fit for purpose.As a Building Surveyor, you'll support the delivery of efficient and professional property surveying services for the University's owned, leased, and occupied buildings. Your focus will be on contributing to building condition surveys, property management, and long-term maintenance planning while upholding sustainability and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct condition surveys to maintain a high-quality quinquennial appraisal of the University's estate.Collaborate on the development and implementation of a long-term maintenance programme, ensuring facilities remain operational and compliant.Provide pre-acquisition and specialist surveys to inform decision-making on property investments.Work with key stakeholders to manage commercial property agreements and support budget forecasting.Actively contribute to UC's sustainability and environmental goals.You are a skilled and motivated professional with at least two years of experience in building surveying. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both within and outside the organisation.You excel in managing your time, prioritising tasks, and handling complex information with clarity and precision. Proficient in IT tools, you bring a practical approach to problem-solving and are adaptable to dynamic work environments.Your commitment to cultural values, including te reo Maori me ona tikanga, reflects your respect for and understanding of the University's unique heritage and vision.
