As we scale up our operations, we need an experienced Building Services Engineer to join our Auckland team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a Building Services Engineer who has a background in MEP Building Services.
Providing sound technical advice to the Project Manager on Building Services related mattersManaging the service discipline design processPreparing scopes of work packages for service disciplines and assisting in the procurement of service trade packages including evaluation of subcontractor correspondenceManaging the communication of project information, instructions, and changes to the services subcontractorsManaging Technical Submissions and the RFI process to ensure a smooth and efficient off-site workflow occursManaging service contractors' performance, in respect of cost and qualityAssisting and implementing the preparation of testing and commissioning documentation including commissioning plans, O&M manuals, and local authority compliance requirementsWe are looking forTo be considered for this role you will have a minimum of 5 years working as an NZ-based Building Services Engineer; either in a Main Contractor Building Services role or a Sub-Contractor Engineer role or have relevant MEP consultancy background.
You will also require: Preferably Mechanical or Electrical services experience, particularly on large projects would be beneficial, but other backgrounds will be consideredSelf-motivated and a team playerComputer literate/knowledge of computer software packages such as Revit, Autocad, MS Project would be an advantageExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to prioritise and able to work under pressureAbility to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleaguesWhy HawkinsWhen you join Hawkins, you'll be part of a driven, passionate and energetic team that strives to always exceed the expectations of our clients.
