The Hospital project is an exciting challenge for the Building team with a project scope of approximately 10 years; it will be the largest building project the region has ever experienced!You may be an experienced Building Control Officer who has existing commercial processing competencies or an experienced qualified Architect, draftsperson with a commercial background, a strong working knowledge of the NZ Building Act, Building Code, and relevant standards.We have a great opportunity for those with the appropriate experience and looking to progress or grow their careers within the regulatory environment of the building industry.As a Building Officer – Processing Building Consents, you will:Assess building consents against the Building Act 2004 and other relevant regulations and standards.Ensure applications are completed to a high standard with appropriate information and are accurately reviewed in line with the Building Code.Undertake consent processing within a range of competencies with a focus toward C2 or C3 competency level.Provide excellent, accurate and prompt customer service.We are seeking an experienced consent processor who has working knowledge of building designs and relevant Building legislation. You will hold a Level 6 Diploma as a Surveyor or relevant qualification, ideally hold C2 - C3 level competency, and be willing to grow.
