Building Compliance Inspector/Technician Full-time We are SGS - the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

In this role will provide IQP inspections and building certification services to building owners and managers as required under the Building Act 2004 or subsequent versions.
This role will be based in Christchurch and cover work across Canterbury.
Key Responsibilities: To provide building compliance inspections, Annual, six monthly and monthly inspections and consultancy services as required by clients.
To conduct Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Service work as required by clients.
To work at all times in accordance with SGS Quality system procedures and to review and provide new procedures where necessary.
To actively seek new business.
To work with the business manager to grow the IQP business on a local and National basis To ensure all work is completed, reports / certificates issued are correct and invoices issued in a timely manner To work with the business manager to maximize business returns whilst minimizing exposure and risk for the company A minimum of 3 years involvement in the building industry or compliance related industry Understanding of NZ building codes and practices Holds or has the ability to obtain IQP registration for Specified Systems 4, 14.2,15.2,15.3,15.4, 15.5 Holds the ability to conduct Fire Alarm and Emergency lighting service work for clients.
