Building Assessor - Auckland or Wellington (6-month Contract)Listed 3 days agoListing DescriptionLocation: Wellington, WellingtonJob type: Full timeDuration: ContractDescriptionReporting directly to the Asset Management & Technical Service Lead, we have an opportunity for a Building Assessor to join our team in Auckland or Wellington, with the potential to travel and deliver condition assessment projects nationwide. This is a fixed-term six-month contract.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering a variety of asset assessment activities while fostering strong customer relationships. This position is key to ensuring projects are delivered successfully, meeting both contractual and commercial targets. Responsibilities include overseeing project staff, conducting asset condition assessments, and coordinating with sub-contractors and suppliers, all while promoting best practices in health, safety, and quality.Reporting directly to the Asset Management & Technical Service Lead, this role also supports the wider Contract Management and Capital Projects teams in delivering exceptional results for our customers.Preferred QualificationsHave a relevant tertiary engineering/trade qualification, or appropriate building assessment experienceHave a good understanding of building codes, theory and project managementBe inquisitive and analytical in natureBe solutions-focused with a 'can-do attitude', looking to provide effective value-added outcomesHave strong communication and reporting skillsHave a high commitment to quality, HSE and environmental managementBe self-motivated and driven towards commercial successMore About UsCitycare Property is a proudly Kiwi-owned, values-driven organisation focused on building, maintaining, and renewing Aotearoa's social infrastructure.
