Our services are evidenced based best practice and are known for being people-centred, caring, transformative, and responsive.We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Addictions Practitioner/Caseworker or social worker for our residential programme based in Newtown, Wellington. Though not a requirement, if you have a special interest in whanau work or intake please also note that in your cover letter.Key Responsibilities:Provision of casework that provides integrated care for those experiencing co-existing problems of addiction and mental health.Group facilitation.Connection with tangata whai ora, whanau, and community services.Working within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment.Implementation of the Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies and Procedures.Person Specification:Degree in Addiction or an alternative relevant qualification such as social work, clinical psychology, or counselling, with evidence of understanding and work in reducing substance-related harms.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Dapaanz (or an alternative equivalent) Practitioner Registration.Commitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction studies.Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas, and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy, and confidentiality.Our offer to you:5 weeks annual leave.Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeing.Subsidised flu vaccinations.A position within a long-standing, respected nationwide organisation.Opportunities for growth and development.Hours of work: This is a permanent full-time role of 40 hours per week; however, part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.The salary for this role will fall between $68,000 and $102,000 per annum.
