This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of a growing company with a focus on both hands-on production and efficient packaging processes.Position Overview:The Brewery Assistant & Packaging Manager will play a dual role in supporting the daily operations of the brewery and overseeing the packaging process. You will be responsible for assisting in various stages of beer production, from brewing to fermentation, as well as managing the packaging and distribution of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for craft beer, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Brewery Assistant Duties:Assist with brewing, fermentation, and maturation processes.Monitor and maintain brewing equipment, ensuring everything is operating smoothly.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing equipment and work areas.Help with raw material inventory management and ensure the proper storage of ingredients.Support the brewing team with recipe formulation and testing.Assist in managing quality control checks during production and post-production stages.Oversee and manage the packaging process, including bottling, canning, and kegging of beer.Ensure packaging is completed in a timely manner, meeting production deadlines.Manage packaging line equipment and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.Maintain inventory of packaging materials (cans, bottles, labels, boxes, etc.) and reorder as needed.Ensure that packaging operations comply with health, safety, and quality standards.Work with the warehouse team to ensure smooth distribution and shipping of products.Skills & Qualifications:Experience in brewery operations, beer production, or packaging (1-3 years preferred).Knowledge of brewery equipment, including brewing, fermentation, and packaging machinery.Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues with packaging machinery.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Knowledge of beer styles, ingredients, and the brewing process is a plus.Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative team environment.Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of beer production and packaging.Competitive salary and benefits package.Employee discounts on our beers.A chance to contribute to the growth and success of a local, independent brewery.If you have a passion for craft beer and a desire to be a part of a growing, dynamic team, we want to hear from you!
