This Packaging Assistant role is a full-time permanent position with 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
The role will consist of assisting the packaging operators to ensure our beer remains the highest quality while packing it off into kegs, bottles, and cans.
Daily duties involve bottle and can packing, labelling, and keg cleaning/filling.
A high standard of problem-solving skills are of utmost importance.
Excellent communication skills are essential to work with our busy team.Key Responsibilities:• Packing of finished beer and assisting Lead Operator in the operation of a 12-head rotary bottle-filler and 16-head inline can filler to meet production requirements.• Cleaning and filling of kegs.• Regular monitoring and testing of the beer and ensuring it remains within our specifications and standard operating procedures.Tasks include:• Assisting in preparing and operating a 12-head rotary bottle-filler and 16-head inline can filler.• Packing of bottles and cans into cartons and retail small packs for various products.• Controlling the pressure and temperature of tank and keg while transferring beer into kegs.• Washing and cleaning kegs using our ABE Keg Commander keg cleaning machine.• Assisting warehouse operator with maintaining an organized warehouse and assisting with pick and pack operations.• Maintaining and monitoring plant and equipment according to the Food Control Plan.• Ensuring continual operation within the health and safety environment for employees, contractors, and visitors including the diluting and preparation of hazardous chemicals for machinery and cleaning operations.Qualifications:Forklift License preferred but not essential.Skills:• Problem solving• Mechanical skills• Competent numerical and literacy skills• Physically fitAttitude:• Common sense• Enthusiasm• Attention to detail• Keen eye for continuous improvementExperience:Relevant manufacturing or food production line experience is preferred.
