The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of local and national news and current affairs, and a feel for the culture of Radio Active and its unique position within Wellington and Aotearoa's broadcast landscape.The purpose of this role is to support our Breakfast host during the busiest hours of their show, ensuring the show runs smoothly and to time.
You will liaise with show stakeholders to coordinate the weekly interview schedule and create on-air and social media content to represent the show.Key tasks include:Meeting and greeting guestsTechnical communication during the show including phone calls & noting of giveaway detailsEditing pre-recorded show content when necessaryAdditional musical selectionsWorking with the show's host and Radio Active's Programme Director to generate ideas for interviews, features, and editorialBooking interviews and assisting with researchCreating interview introductions for the hostUpkeep of the Breakfast interview calendar and audio uploads schedule for reporting purposesPosting Breakfast show content on social media channelsContributing on air as required by Programme DirectorEnsuring Radio Active's Breakfast Show runs smoothly and to timeKeeping clear and concise records of bookings and content which is easily accessible to the office teamVarious general tasks as required by our Programme Director and Breakfast HostHow do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Producer?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.
