Job Description
In this role you will lead the Tauranga Office. We are known for delivering on projects and provide only quality work. The Branch Manager – Tauranga has two core responsibilities. They will complete first-rate engineering work, being involved in many varied projects and having the option to be involved in companywide projects. They will also manage the team and all projects coming into the Tauranga office by ensuring budgets, timeframes and resources are effectively managed. This includes forward planning of work and business development although McMahon has a strong market place brand with clients often coming to them.
This is no ordinary engineering management role. Here you have a highly engaged team and the opportunity to continue to grow the team and their skills. McMahon operate a high trust workplace and with less bureaucracy you can make decisions and focus on engaging work instead of chasing paper!

Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and possesses recent practical experience in crafting, designing and implementing industrial power systems. Proficiency in electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and schematics is crucial. Familiarity with software tools such as ETAP and DigSILENT Power Factory is a plus.
We prioritise qualities like leadership, initiative, critical thinking, and outstanding communication. Adaptability, efficient time management, and the ability to build strong relationships are also essential to ensure our team hums.
Ideally you'll:

Have previous experience in power generation, heavy industry / electrical industry experience
Be an engaging person who can lead and manage people
Have extensive project management and delivery experience
Be a fantastic communicator with the team and clients
Well organised and planned
