Branch Manager

As Auckland Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing the processes of planning and execution for all local pickups and deliveries, along with the outbound linehaul operations.
You will be responsible for ensuring business expectations are met or exceeded at all times.The role is multi-functional and you will find yourself balancing the priorities of safety management, operational requirements, and administration.You will provide leadership, direction, and oversee the activities of the operations team.
You will be responsible for delivering on agreed objectives, whilst building an effective and high performing operations team.
This role requires an energetic, self-motivated leader who can pragmatically see where efficiencies can be engaged and costs controlled across all aspects of the Auckland operation.You will be a hands-on people manager who can create a positive, performance-focused working environment.
Training and development is also a key component with particular emphasis on safety processes and strict adherence to the applicable legislation & our 'Code of Conduct'.You will need to be both resilient and energetic to succeed in this fast-paced environment, ensuring that the linehaul service capacity utilisation is routinely maximised.About youWe're keen to discuss this position with professionals who thrive on the challenge of attaining operational performance excellence:Five years or more experience, with proven experience in delivering consistent operational efficiency and productivity gainsA strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace with knowledge of health and safety legislation (HSWA 2015)Proven leadership and people management skillsHands-on when called forAbility to pivot quickly if priorities shiftYou are results-driven, very detail-oriented and have a high level of professionalismExemplary communication skills across all organisational levelsHighly proficient with Microsoft Office suiteExposure to a Transport Management System (TMS)Current Full Class 1 New Zealand driver's licenceThe remuneration package includes a competitive salary and full use of a company vehicle.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustriesTruck Transportation
