Full timeYitu Holdings Limited owns and operates six BP 2go Service Stations around Christchurch, and we are now seeking an energetic and dynamic Store Manager who can oversee the smooth running of our site based in Linwood.Key Responsibilities:Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiencyManaging stock levels and making key decisions about stock controlMaintain optimum inventory levels by making appropriate decisionsEstablish a good rapport with customers, suppliers and alternative suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted stock supplyUsing IT to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planningDealing with staff issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting performance reviews in association with the HR ManagerTrain staff on Health & Safety procedures, ensuring adherence to food safety rules and guidelines and compliance with statutory requirementsEnsure operational ability and cleanliness of the storeroom dailyResponding to customer complaints and commentsOrganising special promotions, displays and eventsMaintaining awareness of market trends in the Retail industry, monitoring local competitorsInitiating changes to improve the business, e.g., revising opening hours to compete effectively in the local marketPromoting the company's goods and servicesImplementing sales, when requiredSelling goods and services to customers and advising them on product useAssisting with Accounts Payable/ReceivableManaging general admin duties alongside the store administratorSchedule and record weekly rosters and pay run dataDisplay leadership qualities – motivate and empower others, improve staff performanceConfidence – to remain calm under pressure, put the customer first and react well to customer demandsCommercial Awareness (KPI, Shop GP, targets and budgets) to enhance site performanceYou will be rewarded with:A highly competitive salary/wagePersonal development, resulting in highly transferable skillsSole-charge responsibility to develop strategies and establish an agenda to achieve pre-set business goalsExtraordinary day-to-day varietyThe opportunity to coach, train and develop othersStaff discounts and benefitsJob Requirements:A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essentialMinimum 1-2 years customer service and retail management experiencePrevious experience in a service station environment is also preferred but not essentialAble to demonstrate leadership traits and have a proven track recordAble to demonstrate success in achieving goals and the ability to thrive on new challengesAble to work some weekends as requiredHold a valid full NZ drivers' licenceMust have either NZ residency or a valid NZ work visaIf this sounds like you, please apply now by sending in your letter of application and a current CV.
