The successful candidate will provide bookkeeping and payroll services to their clients, ensuring the client's financials are in order, organised, and up to date. At times this will mean figuring out where processes may have gone wrong for their clients. They are looking for someone organised, positive, optimistic with a collaborative approach, who can support their clients when wrong decisions may have occurred in the past without judgment as well as always meeting regular deadlines.This is a full-time position that can be fully remote for the right person or a hybrid role working in the office as well as at home. You will be required to be available from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday. Our client will support you with the tools needed to work from home. You will need to provide a dedicated office space for a laptop, two screens, and desk phones. They offer excellent onboarding over the first three months.Key ResponsibilitiesThe ability to empathise with clients and build strong relationships with clients needing exceptional and ongoing support.Meeting multiple deadlines for payrolls and reconciliations with ease with a flexible and open-minded approach.The ability to manage workflow efficiently and confidently with the ability to problem solve.Delivering exceptional and timely service helping customers to reach their goals and providing training when needed.Looking for and suggesting ways to proactively improve their clients' accounts.Skills Required -You must be technically savvy to be successful in this position.At least three years of full or part-time experience working within accounts as a bookkeeper or accountant.Proven experience understanding accounting principles and practical application of these including AR/AP, GST, and PAYE filing, setting up payments, reconciliations, IRD payments, creating budgets, cashflow management, and monthly reporting.Experience with processing payrolls with an understanding of payroll legislation.The ability to work unsupervised, multi-task, and manage your workflow and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated eye for detail.A good listener who can relay information clearly and simplyAn organised and proactive approach.An intrinsic desire to provide exceptional customer service at all times.Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Xero.Why work for our client?You will not find another role that provides the satisfaction and reward you can expect from this position.
