The Urology Department is located in Christchurch Hospital. Urology focuses on the surgical and medical diseases of the urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs.
Our Urology kapa (team) is a supportive high achieving kapa (team), focused on serving the people of Canterbury and improving health outcomes and efficiencies for all turoro (patients) and visitors who enter into our health system.
We are looking for a highly organised and experienced booking coordinator to tautoko (support) our clinical bookings on a full-time permanent basis to join our team.
This position is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week.
Aspart of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement, this role has been mapped to National Band 5 / Profile 5.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating appointments with our surgeons and turoro (patients)
Ensuring all information is collated, and turoro (patients) records are complete and managed
Providing excellent customer service
Managing clinic processes
Managing the waitlist on the patient management system
Liaising with surgeons to coordinate operating lists
Demonstrating good telephone etiquette

Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail
