Mo te tunga About the role The Urology Department is located in Christchurch Hospital. Urology focuses on the surgical and medical diseases of the urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs.
Our Urology kapa (team) is a supportive, high-achieving team, focused on serving the people of Canterbury and improving health outcomes and efficiencies for all turoro (patients) and visitors who enter into our health system.
We are looking for a highly organised and experienced booking coordinator to tautoko (support) our clinical bookings on a full-time permanent basis to join our team. This position is permanent full-time, working 40 hours per week.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement, this role has been mapped to National Band 5 / Profile 5.
In this role, you will be responsible for: Coordinating appointments with our surgeons and turoro (patients) Ensuring all information is collated, and turoro (patients) records are complete and managed Providing excellent customer service Managing clinic processes Managing the waitlist on the patient management system Liaison with surgeons to coordinate operating lists Maintaining good telephone etiquette Nga pukenga me nga wheako Skills and experience Your skills will include: Customer service skills Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word) Organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised Typing and data entry skills Mo matou About Us Ko nga tangata, te matua mahi - Putting people at the heart of all we do.
