Eagle Recruitment is looking for 5 Boat Painters! As a Boat Painter, you will be a key player in our team, responsible for preparing, priming, and painting various types of boats and marine vessels. Your work is not just about enhancing the aesthetic appeal of these vessels, but also about protecting them from environmental damage. We value your experience in marine painting, your keen eye for detail, and your strong work ethic. Your role will involve: Preparing metal, wood, and fibreglass surfaces, a crucial step in ensuring the quality and longevity of the marine coatings. You will apply a complete system of specific marine coatings according to processes detailed by the coatings manufacturer, a task that directly contributes to the protection of the vessels.  Require making small fibreglass repairs, filling and fairing these repairs with surfacing filler, and sanding these surfaces to the correct texture. Removing rough spots on various types of boats and marine vessel panels. Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders. Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper. Colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades and selecting pre-mixed paint. Applying primer and finishing coats using spray guns and sanding surfaces between coats. Touching up paintwork and applying polish to various boats and marine vessels. Remove masking papers and wax and polish the finished paintwork. Painting signs and artwork on various types of boats and marine vessels Treating various types of boats and marine vessels with rust-proofing chemicals Applicants must: Have NZQF Level 4 qualification or higher or at least three years of relevant experience Be flexible with work hours; might work on weekends Willing to submit background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations. Have NZ residency, citizenship, or NZ Work Visa The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work in different locations (Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast,  Canterbury, Otago and Southland), providing a unique chance to explore New Zealand's diverse regions. The pay rate for this position starts from $29.66 to $33.50 per hour, depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. This range reflects our commitment to rewarding high-performing employees and providing opportunities for growth within the company. Regular work hours are 30 hours per week.
