Board Members, Athletics Northland Board (Four Vacancies) Join Us in Growing Athletics and Building Community Through Sport!
Athletics Northland is seeking new Board Members to help shape the future of athletics in our region. With a mission to deliver outstanding athletics experiences through quality track and field and out of stadia events (cross country, road, and trail activities), we play a vital role in inspiring and connecting northlanders through athletics.
This is an exciting time to join Athletics Northland, as a growing interest in running sweeps through Northland and Athletics New Zealand targets our region for expansion. The regions new Northland Development Manager is also working closely with Athletics Northland, Sport Northland, and Parafed Northland to enhance development opportunities for all.
About the Roles:
We are looking to appoint a diverse group of individuals with expertise in the following areas:
Finance and Audit
Legal
Revenue Generation
Health and Safety
Event Management
Marketing
A passion for community development and the role of sport in fostering personal growth and belonging is essential. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Northland, working alongside dedicated partners and community clubs.
Commitment and Term:
Board members will attend four quarterly meetings and an AGM each year, with additional involvement in key events and subcommittee activities as needed. A mix of term lengths are available, ranging from two to three years, offering flexibility in commitment.
These are voluntary positions.
