About Piha SLSC: Piha Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) is a dedicated community organization committed to ensuring the safety of beachgoers and promoting the spirit of volunteerism and teamwork. We are a high-trust environment with a strong focus on making a positive impact, having fun, and fostering a sense of belonging. PSLSC offers a range of programmes and events, member training and development and sport.
Role Overview: We are seeking experienced individuals to join our Board of Directors. This is a voluntary position where your expertise in fundraising and financial strategy will be highly valued. As a Board Member, you will lead key projects and play a critical role in guiding the club's strategic direction, supporting its financial health, and contributing to the growth of our community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage specific projects that align with the club's strategic goals, including fundraising initiatives and financial planning efforts.
Collaborate with fellow board members to set long-term goals and strategic plans for Piha SLSC.
Take initiative to develop strategies for fundraising to support the club's programs and special projects.
Ensure the club operates in compliance with relevant regulations and maintains high standards of governance.
Represent the club in the community, build relationships, and support membership growth and retention.
Engage in and support various club events and activities, contributing to a positive and inclusive environment.

Piha SLSC is seeking:

Commitment and Experience: Ability to dedicate time and effort to board meetings (held on a monthly basis), project leadership, and club events.
A genuine interest in community service, SLSNZ, and a commitment to supporting the mission and values of Piha SLSC.
