As a Board Director, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring effective governance practices. Your knowledge, wisdom, and enthusiasm about dementia or your lived experience with dementia or as a caregiver will provide invaluable insights into the needs and challenges faced by those living with dementia and their families.

RequirementsResponsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organization.Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Advocate for the needs of individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.Collaborate with fellow board members and staff to develop and implement initiatives that enhance the quality of life for those affected by dementia.Foster a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and respect within the organization and the broader community.Desired criteria:
Lived experience with dementia or as a caregiver preferred.Some governance experience is advantageous.Understanding of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.Commitment to promoting good governance practices and ethical leadership.This is a non-remunerated Board position.
