We are one of NZ's original tourist destinations! The Legendary Black Water Rafting Co is looking for part-time Café Assistants who are enthusiastic about outdoor adventure and tourism to join their crew. Our café is a vibrant and welcoming space where quality and service are paramount.
Role Overview:
As a Café Assistant, you will support the Café Supervisor in ensuring the café operates smoothly and efficiently. Your role will be crucial in delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide friendly and helpful service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Promptly clear and clean tables, maintaining a tidy café environment.
Keep the food display, counter area, and café equipment spotless.
Use the point of sales system effectively and reconcile the till accurately.
Prepare food and beverages according to hygiene standards, including coffee making and cooking.
Accurately record reorder items and follow machine maintenance instructions.
Help with monthly stock take.
Actively participate in staff meetings and contribute positively to teamwork.

What We're Looking For:

Hospitality experience is a plus but not essential.
Numerate, literate, and excellent communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to work under pressure.
Initiative, problem-solving abilities, and a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
Responsible, committed, friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and honest.
Willingness to learn and grow, with a strong work ethic and high attendance record.
Availability to work on a 7-day rotating roster.
