Position: Biomedical Engineer Regional Lead The Biomedical Engineer Regional Lead serves as the primary representative of Biomedical Services NZ Ltd for the designated region and is based in Christchurch, covering the South Island. This role provides leadership and manages overall operations, customer relations, service development and growth, overall resources management, building capabilities, inventory management, work planning, and coordination. Where appropriate, IT Field Services support for AWA is also included. As this is a new region for the organisation, it will require service development activities to grow the business in the South Island, conducted in conjunction with the NZ Group Manager and other key company personnel. The role will have a dual reporting line: The Biomedical Engineer aspects will report to the Wellington Regional Operations Manager. The service development aspects will report to the NZ Group Manager. Due to the nature of this position, the following may apply: Additional out of hours commitment may be required. Training and upskilling in general business management practices will be encouraged and supported. The role provides a range of Biomedical services, including the testing and repair of medical devices at various client sites within the South Island. The role will be based in Rolleston, Christchurch, with regular travel to other clients' sites in the South Island. From time to time, assistance may be required in other parts of the country, and working away from the employee's home base will be required. Qualifications and Experience Required: 5+ years' experience in the Biomedical engineering industry or as a field service engineer, utilising practical electronic skills. Hold a formal NZ recognised qualification in electronics/electrical engineering at diploma or degree level. Strong customer focus with excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. A working knowledge of Biomedical competencies, standards, skills and training. Current registration as an Electrical Appliance Service Person or Electrical Service Technician with a current practicing license. Experience in developing and growing services and customer base. Current clean Driver's License. Hold NZ citizenship, full NZ residency, or a valid NZ work visa. #J-18808-Ljbffr
