Bim Manager / Structural Drafter

The Company Join an established and growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Christchurch and Auckland.
With a clear focus on providing sustainable engineering solutions to improve value, reliability, and efficiency for their customers, my client is looking for an experienced Structural Drafter / BIM specialist to join the team.
With a focus on structural engineering, this role will be involved in drafting and BIM management of projects including data centres, complex laboratories, aged care facilities, educational developments and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for structural projects Proficiency on REVIT / BIM Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and project requirements Utilise BIM software to produce, manage, and update project documentation Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate structural models with architectural, mechanical, and electrical designs Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and schedules Provide support and training to junior staff in CAD and BIM methodologies Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem solving and decision-making processes In return, you will have the opportunity to work with an engineering practice that specialises in complex engineering projects, including aged care, corrections/justice, industrial buildings and commercial buildings across New Zealand.
