We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our team.
About the role:
Based in Christchurch, you will report to the Operations Manager or Project Manager/Director, working closely with teams across our New Business, Technical and Operations Divisions. This role is integral to the success of our projects and supports our mission of creating a better future in construction.
As the BIM Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and coordination of precise, buildable models that integrate structural, architectural, and service elements to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes aligned with our vision and values. It's a role that offers the opportunity to drive innovation in digital construction, collaborate closely with talented teams, and influence the efficiency and success of complex projects.
This role will be key in collaborating with our Design Management team to lead the development of design documentation through all phases, aiming to achieve a fully coordinated, buildable set of documents and models by design completion.
Key responsibilities include:

Oversee the timely and accurate production of construction drawings and models that integrate structural, architectural, and building service elements.
Manage and refine design models to enhance buildability and optimize construction processes.
Drive efficiencies by producing and coordinating construction drawings and models for the site engineering team as needed.
Support the site team by managing, reviewing, and coordinating shop drawings from various trades and consultants.
Collaborate with the Project Engineer to detail formworks and temporary works systems.
Oversee BIM360 to ensure all stakeholders are working with the latest model versions.
Ensure that builders' drawings are regularly updated and accessible for the site team.
Generate clash detection reports to identify and resolve potential conflicts

About You: To thrive in this role, you will bring:

A collaborative and communicative worker that can concisely exchange data within their team.
Advanced skills in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM360) and a solid understanding of construction processes.
Background in BIM management or coordination within construction or engineering, including multi-disciplinary project work.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage BIM processes, and ensure timely, accurate model updates.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with engineers, architects, and site teams, sharing best practices.
High level of accuracy and commitment to quality, ensuring models align with project and company standards.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: We are looking for someone with:

Tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or similar related qualification
Practical BIM and drafting experience
A diploma or other tertiary qualification in BIM Management would be advantageous.
At least 7 years' experience with complex construction projects
Expert knowledge of BIM modelling software, in particular Revit, with a strong knowledge of common data environments such as AutoCad, Navisworks, Revizto and BIM 360
