Behaviour Specialist - Wellington - Healthcare of New ZealandHealthcare of New Zealand Wellington1 day agoDescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Behaviour Specialist to join our team at Explore Specialist Services, the national provider for behaviour support in New Zealand. As part of HealthCare New Zealand, we provide specialist behaviour support services to people with disabilities of all ages by working with their families/whanau and support networks.The key purpose of this role is to deliver quality services based on a positive behaviour support framework, consistent with our contract obligations with the Ministry of Health and other providers as required.Responsibilities:Deliver quality services based on a positive behaviour support frameworkWork collaboratively with clients, families/whanau, and support networks to achieve desired outcomesDevelop and implement individualised behaviour support plansConduct functional assessments and implement behaviour plansCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support servicesProvide education and training to clients, families/whanau, and support networksRequirements:Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or 3+ years of experience in the disability fieldCurrent Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) where requiredUnderstanding of and commitment to The Code of Health and Disabilities Services Consumer Rights, The Treaty of Waitangi, and bi-cultural practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a transdisciplinary mannerKnowledge of evidence-based behavioural approaches and Positive Behaviour SupportExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and client management systemsAbout Us:We are a national provider of behaviour support services, committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families/whanau to live independently, safely, and well in their community.We pride ourselves on providing competitive salaries, supervision, professional development, and progression to ensure you can deliver the best support for our clients and achieve successful outcomes.What We Offer:Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annumOpportunities for professional development and progressionA supportive and collaborative work environmentA flexible workplace that promotes work/life balanceHow to Apply:Please submit your CV and covering letter to apply for this exciting opportunity.
