The Role: As an Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting, tax, and business advisory services. You will play a key role in supporting clients' financial growth, offering strategic advice, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and be involved in business development activities.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and management reports
Provide business advisory and tax planning services to a wide range of clients
Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
Support and mentor junior accountants, assisting with their development
Ensure all compliance work is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Assist with business development and growth opportunities for the firm
Requirements: CA or CPA qualified (or working towards qualification)
2+ years of experience in a public practice accounting role
Strong knowledge of New Zealand tax and accounting standards
Excellent communication and client management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MYOB
