Bas Senior Accountant

After a stable year where they haven't needed to recruit at all, our client is now on a recruitment drive due to company growth. They are aiming to find a highly motivated accountant at the Senior level with 3+ years experience, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
The firm you will be joining is a mid-tier practice that has built up a fantastic reputation within the Canterbury CA market. They have modern offices in an ideal part of town. The office space itself is open plan, really adding to the tight-knit culture that the firm has been able to build and maintain over the years.
Given that this role has come to market in early December, our client is very flexible on start date. With various notice periods and holidays already pre-booked for candidates, there is the ability to start anywhere between pre-Christmas and March. The firm is however looking to move fairly quickly with the interview and selection process.
Of major importance to our client are the softer skills. A key criteria they will be looking for at the interview stage is how candidates convey their people skills. This is vital for ensuring high quality of service is continued on the client side.
You will get exposure to a variety of advisory and non-compliance work. Running client meetings, Xero workshops, and review work will all be a part of your day-to-day responsibilities. There will still be an element of compliance work as part of your job, but this will be limited to more senior duties including forecasts and budgets.
