Bas Intermediate - Senior Accountant

Fluid Recruitment is recruiting for a fantastic, progressive mid-sized CA firm in Nelson. Our client have exciting plans for the upcoming Financial Year and their most urgent need is for an Intermediate or Senior BAS Accountant, with prior NZ CA experience. The firm has a diverse client base and the role is suited to someone whose strengths are their client facing and relationship building abilities.
About the Company This multi-Partner firm has an excellent reputation locally and is well recognised in the market for their proactive approach and investment in modern accounting practices. They have a stable and experienced team and this position has only come about due to growth. Fit within the business is paramount, so our client is looking to fil this gap by taking on an individual who has the ability to engage and work together in an open plan environment.
The firm has a well established client base largely encompassing major public sector clients operating nationally.
Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have a technical competency of a very high standard, as it is vital that you can nail compliance work. Strong relationship management skills are also essential. In addition the following is required:
Relevant experience in a NZ CA environment CA qualified or working towards becoming qualified Strong interpersonal capabilities beneficial to facing clients and working with others Advanced written and verbal communication skills Leadership ambition long term This is an exciting role with the successful candidate getting stuck into reviewing work, IFRS reporting and mentoring junior staff.
