Bar Person

We are on the hunt for hardworking individuals who thrive on the challenge that hospitality brings. Front-of-house and bar positions are available. The location for this role is The Ranch Bar & Grill 111 Town Centre Te Anau Fiordland. This role is ideally nights with some day/split shifts. A busy bar & restaurant serving both locals and tourists now for 27 strong years. A great team of staff on board operating in a fun & busy environment. A full-time (minimum of 32hours a week) position with competitive earnings (pay rate from $29.70 an hour) for the right candidate with the following attributes: * Must be able to think quickly on their feet enjoy serving people & work well within a team environment * Friendly & warm personality * Team player * Excellent customers skills *  Works well under pressure * Experience in restaurant roles and/or customer service roles/teamleading.    Job Description entails:  Cleaning of designated areas in  accordance with procedures morning/evening routines  and hygiene requirements Serving drinks to customers both over the bar and to the table. Checking customer identification around serving of alcohol and entering gaming area Greet customers professionally Assist customers with both food and beverage selection with presentation of  menu explaining daily specials answering food & drink questions Take customer orders in a pleasant and efficient manner Serve food & beverages in accordance with agreed procedures but above all in a professional courteous manner. Help restocking & ordering of stock on daily basis Ensure customers are correctly charged  present the bill and take payment from the customers in accordance with the procedures of the establishment Participate in fire or evacuation drills and ensure complete familiarization with all exitsBe aware of and continually maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress. Report any problems to the Restaurant Manager or Duty Manager Adhere to sanitation safety and alcohol control policies  If this position sounds like you please contact us with your CV and references by email.
