Bar & Floor Staff PURPOSE To serve all guests in a courteous and friendly manner, projecting the host values of Manaakitanga. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Escort customers to their tables.  Describe and recommend beverages to customers. Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Inform guests of daily specials. Take orders from guests for food or beverages, using the handheld units tableside, or PoS screens as appropriate. Answer guests questions knowledgeably. Serve food or beverages, and clear away dishes. Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Prepare itemised checks. Collect payments from guests and ensure that payments are correct. Clean tables or counters after guests have finished. Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks. Stock service areas with supplies of cutlery, napkins etc. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION 3 months or longer in a similar role. LCQ Certificate required after 3 months of employment in this role with our company.
