We're looking for a Bakery Manager who can lead and develop a team of skilled Bakers and Bakery Assistants.

As our Bakery Manager, you'll shape our Bakery's direction, establishing a vision and aiming to achieve great things.
Providing coaching, direction and ensuring standards remain high, you'll bring a leadership style that motivates and brings out the best in those around you in a dynamic environment.

We aim to be at the cutting edge of Bakery innovation, developing and introducing new premium baked goods that our customers love.Key responsibilitiesLead and inspire a large team through effective coaching, training and performance management.Manage all aspects of Bakery operations, including staff scheduling, resource allocation and operational efficiency.Drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency and team performance through proactive monitoring and feedback.Oversee financial performance through efficient scheduling, inventory control, and strategic initiatives.Lead by example, uphold store values and build on the positive team culture.HoursFull-time hours, specific hours to be discussed at the interview stage.
New World Centre City operates from 07:30am – 10:00pm, 7 days a week, shift patterns to include a weekend day.About youPassionate about baking with relevant experience or qualifications (preferred but not essential)Outstanding leadership abilities with a track record of developing and motivating teamsHardworking, reliable and demonstrated ability to use initiative.Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectivelyEager to contribute to the success of the team and the development in innovation.About usNew World Centre City is one of the South Islands largest New Worlds, proudly serving the Dunedin community since 1986.
