Baker - Te Awamutu

Are you a qualified Baker or hold a Culinary Arts qualification?
Open to experienced bakers or experienced apprentices in 2nd/3rd years and recent graduates?
Are you looking to expand your experience with the chance to bake breads from scratch and produce other quality Bakery products?
Do you have a sound understanding of food safety and lead by example in quality food safety practices?
Do you have what it takes to keep up with both the quantity and quality our customers demand?
Duties will include:

Making breads from scratch
Making other bakery products including pastries and cakes
Following food safety department requirements including completing FS paperwork
Finishing of products
Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
Other department duties as assigned by the Manager

The successful candidate will ideally have completed their qualification, but we are open to further training for the right applicant.
You will need to have a commitment to excellence and strong organizational and communication skills, display high presentation standards, be honest, and have an excellent work ethic.
You need to enjoy early morning starts.
The hours and days of the position will be discussed with applicants at the interview stage.
If you have flexibility to work across both days in the weekend, this would be an advantage.
