Baker

Position: Baker Job duties: · Weigh out precise amount of baking ingredients using scales or graduated containers · Assess the quality of raw materials before baking to ensure conformance to set standards · Uniformly mix ingredients using automated equipment such as blenders and mixers · Knead dough manually or with the aid of a kneading machine, mature, cut, mix and shape dough · Prepare pastry fillings · Establish production schedule and set quota for the number of goods to be produced on daily basis · Maintain a clean and hygienic work area in accordance with health and safety regulations · Decorate baked products by applying icings, cream, toppings and glaze to achieve a finished appearance · Conduct research to develop original recipes for baked products · Ensure proper storage of baking utensils and supplies · Oversee the routine maintenance of baking equipment to ensure efficient operations · Manage inventory levels and order supplies before they are used up · Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets before depositing in ovens for baking.
· Adjust thermostatic controls to regulate temperature of oven · Clean baking trays and equipment · Any other duties the employer reasonably may require employee to perform Pay rate: minimum $29.66/ hour - maximum $32.00/ hour Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum 35 hours Requirements for the job: · At least 3 years of relevant work experience is required · Prefer to have relevant qualification · Full time availability, able to work early shift and also on weekends · No criminal record · Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
