This role covers a range of tasks, meaning no two days are the same. The training provided for this role has a direct progression to a Utility Plant Operator Role.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Bagging Plant OperationThe Bagging Plant Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the bagging, stacking and associated mobile equipment.Analyse and monitor the bagging process and equipment malfunction.Maintain daily operational log for operations, maintenance and health & safety.Conduct regular random bag seal and bag weight monitoring to ensure the bags conform to the indicated weight on the bag and meet consumer's required packaging quality.Bagged stock must be accounted for, and reported daily including production, dispatched stock and stock on hand.Operation of mobile plant including front end loader for loading pellets into the system and forklift for loading trucks and various other duties as required.Ensure that all maintenance and preventative maintenance schedules are conducted in accordance with the standard operating procedure.2. Pellet Place OperationTrain to the level of Utility Plant Operator and provide shift cover for Utility Operators during their absence.3. Mobile PlantAs part of this role, it will be necessary to use mobile plant. Check tyre pressure, oil and water daily. Ensure pre-start checks are conducted prior to operating vehicles. Refuel vehicles if necessary. Report any faults with mobile plant or yard equipment to the Shift Supervisor.4. CaretakingEnsure the pellet plant cleanliness is maintained to site performance standards. Ensure cleaning tools are in a serviceable condition and stored correctly. Inspect buildings and surround for wear, damage, deterioration and product leaks, report any defects found and repair where possible.5. Health and SafetyEnsure your own health and safety and that of others by following all rules and procedures, reporting and managing hazards in the work area and actively contributing to and participating in, company health and safety initiatives. Operate all equipment in compliance with company policies and Health and Safety Legislation.6.
