Add expected salary to your profile for insightsWe are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to work and manage our busy Backpackers Lodge!Someone who has strong work ethics and a can-do attitude to join our amazing team - an all-rounder who enjoys variety in their workday and is willing to grow the business to the next level. This role is majority housekeeping duties as you will be responsible for the day-to-day turnover and cleaning of the Backpacker Lodge.Duties as a Backpackers Lodge Manager will include:Providing a personalized service and experience for our guests to enjoyEnsuring all cleanliness of the Lodge is maintained at high standards at all times.Ensuring the laundry service operates efficiently.The grounds and facilities are maintained to a high and safe standard at all times.Providing guidance and assistance to reception staff, addressing any questions or concerns.Implementing and upholding standard operating procedures to ensure operational excellenceIdentifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of strategic plansFostering a positive, collaborative work environment and providing support and training to the teamAddressing guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfactionWorking knowledge of financial management and the ability to generate growth and revenueSupporting the training and onboarding of new team membersLiaising with inter departments to assist guests and advise of room movesReporting and escalating any technical issues and or maintenance needs to the maintenance department.Responsible for health and safety monitoring at the lodge and escalation of risks and concerns.To apply for this position you must:Have previous experience working in a Backpackers Lodge or HostelHave previous experience managing a teamExperience with Ibex / Seekom would be an advantageBe a good team playerDemonstrate experience in customer serviceHave a good fluent understanding of the English languageHave good attention to detailHave good organization skillsBe a permanent resident of New ZealandOur management team works on a 7 day roster and you will be required to work weekends and public holidays if it falls on your normal working day.We will provide:Heavily discounted staff accommodation if needed or free site accommodation in your own vehicle/caravan, including free unlimited wifi and power.A great team to work with, from all around the world!Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Lodge Manager?Do you have customer service experience?How many years of people management experience do you have?Do you have professional housekeeping experience?Researching careers?
