The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with past Enterprise customer experience specializing in Azure platform management to support the reliability, security, and performance of our customers' cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing Azure environments, Windows Server administration, and a solid foundation in incident response. You'll play a key role in monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing customer cloud environments to meet enterprise-level standards for availability and security.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance for enterprise applications.
Administer Windows Servers in a cloud environment, handling setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support customers' core applications.
Implement and oversee patch management for Azure and Windows Server environments, ensuring compliance with security requirements and reducing downtime during updates.
Monitor and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud / Defender for Endpoint to ensure robust security posture across customer environments, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, responding to alerts, and implementing best practices to protect against threats.
Monitor systems performance and availability using Azure-native monitoring and alerting tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain stability.
Respond to incidents and alerts as part of our support rotation, diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues efficiently.
Participate in on-call rotation to handle critical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term improvements for system reliability.
Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline recurring tasks like patching, provisioning, and reporting for enhanced efficiency and consistency.
Document operational procedures, run books, and best practices for Azure platform management, Windows Server maintenance, and incident response to support knowledge sharing and consistency across teams.
Monthly Reporting:
Manage and deliver ongoing reports for customers, including an overview of managed services activities and key metrics such as system performance, incident tracking, SLA compliance, patching status, vulnerability management, backup and replication health, and recommendations for further action.
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or IT systems administration, focusing on Azure platform management and Windows Server administration.
Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Automation.
Hands-on experience with Windows Server management (setup, configuration, maintenance, and patching) in a cloud environment.
Proficiency in patch & vulnerability management using Azure Update Manager, Defender for Endpoint, and other tools to ensure systems are consistently updated, secure, and compliant.
Solid understanding of monitoring and alerting tools within Azure, using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to ensure system health and quick response to incidents.
Experience with scripting & IaC languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, Terraform, etc., to automate tasks and streamline operations.
Strong knowledge of network protocols and security best practices relevant to Azure and Windows Server, including VPNs, firewalls, and access control.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with Active Directory and Entra identity management in cloud and hybrid environments.
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery practices specific to Azure and Windows Server.
Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues effectively and transparently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
Experience with ITIL or other incident management frameworks for structured incident response and resolution.
