Our team makes a difference by "keeping their world working and moving."About the Role - Aviation Supply & Cargo Logistics SpecialistWe are excited to introduce a new full-time role within our Christchurch-based United States Antarctic Program Cargo Operation and Aviation Supply Warehouse. This position amalgamates two vital support roles, requiring a dedicated professional who can adapt between departments based on seasonal and operational demands.In this role, you'll provide invaluable support across our cargo and aviation supply operations, assisting with everything from logistics to inventory management.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive and accurately track cargo through in-house software systems.Unload and manage cargo deliveries using forklifts and other handling equipment.Prepare cargo for outbound shipment by air and container, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.Documentation and ComplianceComplete Hazardous Cargo Declarations as required.Prepare detailed manifests for aircraft missions.Generate and analyse operational reports to support process improvements and decision-making.Aircraft Parts and Inventory ManagementReceive and manage aircraft parts inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping and storage.Order, track, and monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory and avoid shortages.Prepare parts for outbound shipment with appropriate labelling and documentation.Operational SupportMaintain bench stocks to support continuous operations and minimize downtime.Who We're Looking ForThis role is ideal for someone with a background in cargo or supply operations, particularly within an aviation setting.
