The Civil Aviation Authority is the regulatory arm of our organisation and the Aviation Security Service is the nationwide provider for aviation security.
About the role The Assessment, Triage, and Coordination team is an integral part of the Strategy, Governance, Risk, and Assurance group, fostering strong partnerships with the Investigation function and key operational units within the Authority.
This team is tasked with collecting, processing, triaging, forwarding, and acting on information submitted to the Authority by both aviation participants and the New Zealand public.
In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating the flow of information into the Authority and ensure it makes its way to the right business groups.
You will also work closely with Assessor-Investigators to triage information which in turn will support our risk-based decision making.
The salary band for the Aviation Data and Information Officer goes from $64,342 to $88,956 with the mid-range being $78,351.
Starting salary will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.
What You'll Bring Experience in effectively overseeing the collection, collation, entry, management, integrity, and distribution of data and information.
Proven experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships of all levels.
A drive for excellence and accuracy.
The ability to use critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.
Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, legislative requirements relating to information that come from the Civil Aviation Act, the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Privacy Act, and the Official Information Act.
Knowledge of New Zealand's aviation sector is highly desirable.
