Automotive Technician

We are seeking an Automotive Technician. This role will see you work Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with rostered Saturdays 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at our Nissan workshop in Glenfield, Auckland. You are, above all, responsible for performing all kinds of service operations (WOF inspections), defined assembly operations, and maintenance repairs to customer and company vehicles with the highest quality and efficiency.Your responsibilities will include:Perform WOF inspections to a high standard.Ensure that all servicing and repairs follow specifications and standards.Support and contribute to the effective operations of the workshop.Utilise skills and knowledge to diagnose problems with a range of vehicles.Engines rebuild and overhauling.Electrical and ECU fault finding and repairs.Wiring fault finding.Engine and gearbox removal and installation.Assist with Apprentice training and teaching of skills.Customer/Client relations building.Skills & Experience Requirements:Current WOF Inspector Certification.A current clean full Driver's Licence.New Zealand National Certificate in Automotive Electrical and Mechanical Engineering certified or relevant International Automotive Trade Qualifications.3+ years' experience in repairing, servicing, and maintenance of motor vehicles.Friendly communicator with good oral and written English language skills and a high level of personal integrity.What We Offer:Competitive wage rates depending on skills and experience.Overtime rate will be paid at your normal hourly rate.This is a permanent, full-time role offering a 40-hour minimum work week.Great workshop with the latest equipment.A key position on a friendly team.The tools and guidance necessary for you to grow in your career.Further technician training and career development provided by Nissan.Our Company:A privately-owned and operated Multi-Franchise Automotive company, Ingham has grown over four decades to be one of New Zealand's leading automotive groups.
