Automotive Technician and WOF Inspector Fixed-TermAbout our role We are seeking an Automotive Technician with a current WOF licence.
This role is a fixed-term contract for three months with the potential to extend if required.
You will work Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with rostered Saturdays 8:00am to 12:00pm at our Nissan workshop in Glenfield, Auckland.
Above all, you are responsible for performing all kinds of service operations (WOF inspections), defined assembly operations, and maintenance repairs to customer and company vehicles with the highest level of quality and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include: Perform WOF inspections to a high standard.Ensure that all servicing and repairs follow specifications and standards.Support and contribute to the effective operations of the workshop.Utilise skills and knowledge to diagnose problems with a range of vehicles.Engines rebuild and overhauling.Gearboxes rebuild and overhauling.Electrical and ECU fault finding and repairs.Wiring rebuilds and fault finding.Engine and gearbox removal and installation.Assist with Apprentice training and teaching of skills.Attention to detail.Skills & Experience requirements: New Zealand National Certificate in Automotive Electrical and Mechanical Engineering certified or relevant International Automotive Trade Qualifications.Proven franchise experience working with Nissan motor vehicles.3+ years' experience in repairing, servicing, and maintenance of motor vehicles.3+ years of experience working in a franchise dealership.Nissan GTR and/or Leaf qualification and experience is advantageous.Friendly communicator with good oral and written English language skills and a high level of personal integrity.Compensation: Wage rates between $33.00 - $37.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
Overtime rate will be paid at your normal hourly rate.
This is a permanent, full-time role offering a 40-hour minimum work week.
