Automotive Maintenance Technician - New Plymouth Drillco is a 100% New Zealand-owned civil construction company, owned by Drillco 2019 Limited, with offices in Taranaki and Manawatu. We specialise in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and trenching for installing underground utilities such as power, gas, water, fibre, and EV charging stations. We also specialise in construction of industrial scale solar farms, working together with Drillco 2019 Ltd's other brand, New Energy, to deliver innovative infrastructure and renewable energy projects across New Zealand.

Role is advertised in Manawatu & New Plymouth - commencing January 2025
What You'll Do:
Vehicle, plant, and equipment maintenance – inspections, servicing, and repairs, locally and on project sites around NZ.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance activities.
Light equipment fabrication, meeting quality and compliance standards.
Field support – prompt breakdown and equipment failure response across Drillco and New Energy sites around NZ.
Coordination of maintenance repairs and tasks.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience in automotive mechanics or a similar role.
Flexibility to travel around NZ for onsite maintenance of plant and equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with deep understanding of automotive systems, components, and machinery.
Proficient welding and fabrication skills.
Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
Strong understanding of workplace health & safety.
Approachable, personable team player with a can-do attitude.
Full NZ Driver's License, class 1, 2, & 4.
Wheels, tracks, and roller endorsements.
