Automotive Electrition

To ensure all automotive electrical duties are performed in a effective and timely manner according to daily targets/requirements.
Core objectives include:

Use test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
Dismantle and remove electrical and electronic assemblies and components
Install electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
Adjust engine control systems and timing
Test and replace defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors
Repair and replace faulty ignition and electrical wiring
Replace defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches
Ensure efficient and accurate fault diagnostics
Ensure all vehicles are processed accurately and efficiently and of a high standard.
Perform quality workmanship to minimise the occurrence of come backs.
Road test vehicles to ensure job/fault is rectified.
Ensure all paperwork and processes are completed in a timely manner, recording all parts/labour used on each job.
Meet given KPI's
Ensure workshop area is kept safe in accordance with the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Use proper safety equipment when required
Use all equipment and tools in a safe and conscientious manner.
Report damage to vehicles/plant/premises as soon as possible.
Clean contaminant spills as soon as possible using the Spill Kit.
Contribute to "tool box meetings" and company policies and procedures.
Hold and maintain a current NZ Drivers Licence
